Kana Retreat
Holy Redeemer Renewal Centre, Mawkhlam | 26th April 2026
The Holy Redeemer Renewal Centre, Mawkhlam, under the Diocese of Nongstoin,
conducted its first-ever Couple’s Retreat for married couples who have not yet
been blessed with children, including cohabiting couples.
Despite being the first retreat of its kind, participation was remarkable,
with 39 couples attending from the Archdiocese of Shillong,
Diocese of Jowai, and Diocese of Nongstoin.
Most Rev. Wilbert Marwein DD, Bishop of Nongstoin, solemnized the Holy Eucharist
on the evening of 24th April 2026. Following the Holy Mass,
the Bishop personally blessed each couple through the laying on of hands,
invoking God’s grace upon their married lives.
The retreatants deeply appreciated this unique spiritual initiative and expressed
their hope for future retreats of this nature.
